Los Angeles–based singer/songwriter Susy Sun has quietly carved out a sound full of organic subtleties and inviting depths, offering a dreamy combination of folk, classical, and vintage pop.
Her early years were spent in rural Washington, waltzing through apple orchards and studying classical piano. Later, she traded the stages of the Pacific Northwest for Southern California and introduced her songwriting to the wider world with her 2019 debut LP, The Way The Wind Blows, produced by Grammy- award winner Dennis Herring.
As Sun continued to develop her sound, she was drawn to a more organic recording approach. Her follow-up album, On Ivar Hill, was released in 2023 and was co-produced and recorded live to tape with a full band. The songs span a wide stylistic range while maintaining a timeless warmth and emotional sincerity.
Pisces Dream is Sun's fourth full-length album. Produced by Henry Wolfe and recorded with a talented cast of Los Angeles musicians, it offers a soft place to land in a heavy world. Blending lush lullabies, intimate songwriting, and subtle emotional undercurrents, the album expands on Sun's signature sound while embracing richer arrangements and a dreamlike atmosphere. The result is a collection that feels both deeply personal and quietly transportive.
